About Me

Hello!

I'm Elaine, and I'm a 3D artist from Hong Kong.I'm a graduate of University of the Arts London: London College of Communication, where I studied 3D Computer Animation. I specialise in stylised 3D, environment art, and making assets ready for implementation in video game engines. I've worked on projects in a wide range of mediums, from animation to video games to virtual reality.I love stories of all kinds, regardless of medium. When creating, I always create with the best way to tell a story in mind!

The Mermaid Music Box

Beholding it, you are struck by how familiar it appears. It seems reminiscent of, and appears to functions in very much the same way, as music boxes of human creation. Though its inherent purpose appears to differ not, you get the feeling that there is more that separates this device and its surface counterparts than thousands of miles of water. When its key is wound, it plays a haunting refrain that is best heard under water. It is said that the feelings of those who had once enjoyed its melody have condensed as tears, collected within the box itself. It is under this liquid that its song rings clearest: a song of lost loneliness, and longing to be understood. To be, once again, found.A hand-textured game artifact, inspired by the aesthetic of Sea of Thieves. First year project at University of the Arts London: London College of Communication. Created in Maya and hand-textured in Photoshop.

The Last Grimm Tale

Cinematic Trailer

For the final major project of my third year at university at London College of Communication, I collaborated with three other members of my graduating class to create an experience using virtual reality as a medium in which to explore immersive storytelling. The narrative is inspired by the true stories of the two brothers Grimm—the older brother, Jacob, and the younger brother, Wilhelm, who passed before Jacob did. In this story, Jacob experiences his brothers' memories set to environments imagined by the fairy tales collected by the two brothers, as he comes to terms with the fact of his brother's passing.
